BE IT EVER SO HUMBLE..................

MAY 27, 2017- SATURDAY

Our motel did not have a continual (Brother Gary's version) breakfast so we traveled about an hour and found a nice little restaurant out in the country .  This place was owned by a fellow that was from Greece!  Very friendly and great food!!  Breakfast in the restaurants are the best meal of the day - BUT they didn't have Biscuits and Gravy!!!!  Sausage and Eggs with a side of Hash Browns works pretty well too BUT...... Biscuits and Gravy beats everything!

We ate and as we were leaving we met Theo & Lucia Doorn, another very talkative and friendly couple from Gronigen, The Netherlands. They were traveling from Vancouver, B.C. to Toronto via a rental car.  Had a very nice conversation with them and tried to play Dutch Bingo but we didn't score on anything.

Previous forest fire grounds with the new growth turning the hillside green again.

Another homesteaders dream crumbling into oblivion.

Our very own Mt. Baker.  The picture is a bit foggy since the air was hazy!! BUT this is our mountain and is in Whatcom County and we can enjoy its beauty every day!

Only one more mile to Home!!!

Peaches, the Pampered House dog is happy to see us --- and we are happy to see her!!!

Be it ever so humble............................

And so ends our trip to Alaska - 7492 miles, 1 small stone chip in the windshield, 1 new rotor on the front wheel and  2701 pictures in the camera (I think I have some editing to do), 16 stocking hats......
we are home!!
